Remuneration: $108, $112,122.13 per annum

About the Opportunity:

This role provides an opportunity for novice sonographers to expand their knowledge with a supportive team and for proficient sonographers to apply and further their skills.

The role offers the chance to scan a varied range of interesting examinations in a multidisciplinary team and there is potential for upskilling in Foetal maternal ultrasound and neonatal scanning.

Rotation in general radiography to address injury management as appropriate is also provided.

You will be working with a close-knit and supportive team and in liaison with radiology registrars and consultants, to provide high-level ultrasound service in accordance with shift requirements and an on-call basis.

Key Responsibilities:

The role is responsible for providing comprehensive tertiary high-level specialist diagnostic ultrasound service, ensuring high-quality patient care.

The position works within a Diagnostic Medical Imaging multidisciplinary team to provide accurate and high-quality diagnostic ultrasound services for Liverpool Hospital.

About Liverpool Hospital:

Liverpool Hospital is a major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area.

The Hospital provides a health service of international standing, with 23 operating theatres, capacity for 877 beds, diagnostic and imaging services, emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.

Liverpool Hospital is currently undergoing a major redevelopment, the $790 million Liverpool Health and Academic Precinct (LHAP) project, which will provide enhanced facilities and an increased capacity to meet future significant population growth for South Western Sydney.

Liverpool Hospital is a principal referral and teaching Hospital of the UNSW Sydney and the Western Sydney University and also welcomes students from over 20 universities and colleges.

Located in the heart of Liverpool City, the hospital is close to public transport, shopping centres and eateries.
