Platform Operations Support Specialist

As a critical member of the Talon Outdoor team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the seamless operation of our platforms stack. Your technical expertise and functional assistance will be instrumental in diagnosing and resolving issues, collaborating with business and engineering teams to enhance the system, and proactively identifying opportunities for improvement.

You will be working on support tickets, providing user support, conducting troubleshooting, and contributing to system enhancements to maintain efficiency and effectiveness. Your tasks may involve creating logins for internal and external users, troubleshooting issues, answering user queries, training media owners when requested, testing and deploying applications, raising bugs and defects with developers, and keeping application data up-to-date.

Key responsibilities include ensuring users are updated regarding their tickets and closing them when work is complete, completing weekly and monthly tasks, keeping documentation up-to-date, and sending out communications if there are issues.

We're looking for a candidate with proven experience in an application support role or similar technical position, familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies, and proficiency in using DevOps tools like AWS, Terraform, and Docker in production environments.

Other required skills include experience with continuous integration/delivery practices and performance scanning tools, excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in at least one scripting or object-oriented programming language, experience with SQL scripting and database servers such as SQL Server and MongoDB, familiarity with internet-based application security practices, and proficiency in configuration management, automation, and orchestration tools.

Experience in the media domain is advantageous, knowledge of APIs and microservices is desirable, and experience working with Java and MongoDB technologies is a plus.

Our team is responsible for providing support for all Talon Outdoor tech platforms, producing data insights to make business decisions, supporting finance users with NetSuite queries, and supporting 300+ internal Talon users and external users (agencies, media owners) who use the Talon tech platforms.
