About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational leader to join our team as a Lead Ranger. This is a rare and outstanding opportunity to lead and shape the delivery of our vision for a more nature-rich, accessible, and resilient coast.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of staff and volunteers to deliver land management, capital, and cyclical management tasks
  • Develop and coordinate conservation, access, and engagement projects with a focus on seeking grants
  • Work closely with farming tenants to create opportunities for landscape-scale conservation and climate action
  • Play a key role in moving forward our nature restoration plans at Pentire, Trevose, and Tintagel
Requirements
  • Proven leadership experience in a conservation or countryside setting
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to demonstrate an understanding and commitment to nature conservation, access management, and climate mitigation and adaptation
  • Knowledge of health and safety requirements and compliance issues relating to the countryside and visitor activities
