Educators Wales is committed to delivering high-quality teaching and learning, and we are now seeking a Student Work Placement Coordinator to join our team. This role will be responsible for finding and placing students with suitable work placements for their courses, providing support throughout the process.

The Job

This Student Work Placement Coordinator position requires a Level 3 qualification in Health and Social Care/Childcare, as well as 5 GCSE passes (grades A-C) including Maths and English or equivalent.

  • Part time (22 hours per week)
  • Term time (36 weeks per annum)

Responsibilities
  • To provide one-to-one student support and skills assessment at placements and settings through pre-arranged visits.
  • To continually review and update procedures and systems for placement tracking and monitoring.
  • To undertake monitoring, vetting, and risk assessments as required.
  • Keeping up-to-date with and contributing to curriculum development and innovations affecting work placement and skills development.
About You
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, working confidently with colleagues and students.
  • Knowledge of work placement monitoring and vetting or willingness to undertake training in this area.
