We are seeking a Senior Practitioner to join our team at the Single Homeless Project in London. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive salary starting at £32,325 per annum.

About the Role

As a Senior Practitioner, you will work within a strengths and recovery framework embedded in a trauma-informed approach to support young people with complex mental health issues. Your primary responsibility will be to guide and signpost staff in supporting young people in developing independent living skills.

In this role, you will play a vital part in providing effective support to at-risk young people and coaching staff to promote their well-being and independence. You will also be responsible for inspiring opportunities for our young people to thrive and reach their full potential.

The Single Homeless Project is a London-wide charity dedicated to preventing homelessness, providing support and accommodation, promoting wellbeing, enhancing opportunity, and being a voice for change. We make a difference in the lives of 10,000 individuals every year across all 32 boroughs.

Your Skills and Qualifications
  • You have experience working with young people with complex mental health issues and possess a non-judgmental outlook that promotes a strengths-based approach and an understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion.
  • You have practical skills in motivation and coaching young people and staff, as well as resilience and clarity when faced with challenging behavior.
  • You are creative, analytical, trauma-informed, and rooted in a strengths and recovery model, with a commitment to delivering high-quality services.
  • You possess strong team-working and interpersonal skills, maintaining a collaborative approach to supporting young people achieve their goals.
Benefits
  • A competitive salary increase after successfully completing a six-month probationary period.
  • A 37.5 hour working week with flexible working hours (core hours are 10am to 4pm) in non-accommodation services.
