Job Overview

This role is responsible for providing first-line technical support to end-users of Hywel Dda University Health Board, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction and efficient resolution of ICT-related issues.

The successful candidate will be part of a team that supports the ICT infrastructure of the Health Board, working in a busy and challenging environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical support to end-users via phone, email, and webchat
  • Logging and tracking incidents and service requests using the Service Desk tool
  • Collaborating with the National Service Desk to resolve complex issues
  • Assisting users to make effective use of ICT systems and equipment

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a practical approach to technical issues.

Technical knowledge of Windows 10 and Microsoft Office is required, with exposure to Intranet/Internet and network technologies a plus.

A good standard of education is required, with an ICT qualification or equivalent experience.

Main Duties

The post holder will work as part of the Service Desk team, undertaking first-line technical support to all client computer users and users of ICT systems across the Health Board.
