About the Role

The University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workforce Planning Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our workforce planning function, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our workforce and ensuring that we have the right people with the right skills in the right place at the right time.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective workforce planning strategies that align with the Trust's strategic objectives.
  • Lead the development of workforce plans that meet the needs of our clinical groups and ensure that they are implemented effectively.
  • Provide expert advice and support to clinical groups and the People Business Partners on workforce planning and business cases.
  • Utilize business intelligence to inform workforce planning decisions and ensure that we are making the most effective use of our resources.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the Trust and the Coventry and Warwickshire ICS to ensure that our workforce planning activities are aligned with system-wide ambitions.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in workforce planning and development, with a strong understanding of the NHS workforce planning landscape.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong focus on delivering results and achieving objectives.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of workforce planning software and tools, with experience of using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
