Job Overview:

Product Safety Manager Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Product Safety Manager to join our Quality & Regulatory and Technical team at the John Lewis Partnership. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of product safety and quality across our operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective product safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Lead and drive the product safety rationales and ensure compliance within the business.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and mitigate product safety risks.
  • Provide expert guidance on product safety and microbiology to support business decisions.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and third-party partners to ensure product safety and quality standards are met.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Microbiology, Food Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing food safety outbreaks and extensive knowledge of product safety.
  • HACCP training and Lead Assessor certification.
  • Specialist training in areas such as allergens, microbiology, pesticide management, cosmetics regulations, and product labelling legal requirements.
