Service Manager Role
We are seeking a Service Manager to lead our Responsive Repairs Team in Cornwall. This is a regional-based role, requiring regular travel within the county and occasional travel to our Exeter office.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a team to deliver programmed works in customers' homes.
- Monitor operative productivity and work quality, conducting quality audits of work and materials.
- Ensure financial controls are in place and adequate resources are available.
- Manage subcontractors' performance and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Monitor vehicle stock and materials, adhering to legislative standards and company guidelines.
- Ensure Health and Safety regulations are followed and safeguarding procedures are in place.
- Investigate and respond to customer complaints, ensuring quality and timely resolution.
Requirements
- Experience in delivering excellent customer-focused repair services.
- Leadership and management experience, with a track record of developing and motivating operational teams.
- Up-to-date knowledge of building maintenance, Decent Homes Standards, and safety legislation.
- Knowledge of housing sector best practice and relevant legislation.
- Experience with repairs management information systems.
Desirable Qualifications
- Experience with stock condition software and handheld devices.
- Experience working as part of a management team delivering front-line services.
- Extensive knowledge of building maintenance technical operations.
Essential Qualifications
- Relevant technical qualification, such as a trade NVQ level 3 or equivalent.
