Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive architectural strategies for our EW product portfolio, ensuring seamless integration and alignment with our Capability roadmaps.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop innovative solutions, leveraging industry-standard approaches such as Product Line Engineering.
  • Lead the production of candidate system solutions and architectures, driving key decision-making activities to evaluate alternatives against cost, value, and compliance.
  • Define and document enterprise-level procedures, guidance, and best practices for system architecting and associated tools.
  • Work closely with the Bid & Project Manager to estimate costs based on alternative solutions and approaches.
  • Take ownership of architectural decision-making, including trade-off analysis and supplier/partnership strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of enterprise architectures across campaigns and programmes.
  • Establish and maintain strategic relationships with external partners to drive delivery.
  • Travel within the UK to engage with customers and industry partners.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in creating and defining architectures and interfaces for complex hardware and software solutions.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with a track record of success in high-complexity, dynamic environments.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trust and respect at all levels.
  • Experience in integration, with a deep understanding of emergent properties, potential resultant issues, cost, and schedule implications.
  • Tenacity and determination, with a passion for delivering outputs and results.
