Transformative Opportunity for a Systems Architect

At Leonardo, we are seeking a visionary Systems Architect to spearhead the development of cutting-edge electronic warfare solutions. As a key member of our Electronic Warfare (EW) Line of Business, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our products and services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive architectural strategies for our EW portfolio, ensuring seamless integration across multiple programmes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create a clear architectural vision, aligning with Capability roadmaps and driving product development.
  • Lead the production of candidate system solutions and architectures, evaluating trade-offs and making informed decisions to ensure cost-effectiveness and compliance.
  • Define and document enterprise-level procedures, guidance, and best practices for system architecting and associated tools.
  • Work closely with the Bid & Project Manager to estimate costs based on alternative solutions and approaches.
  • Provide thought leadership within stakeholder communities, contributing to white papers, conferences, and industry reports.
  • Contribute to the development of enterprise architectures across campaigns and programmes.
  • Establish and maintain external strategic relationships to facilitate delivery.
  • Support the development and embedding of Systems Architecting methodologies, processes, and initiatives within the sector.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in creating and defining architectures for complex hardware and software solutions.
  • Strong leadership and decision-making skills, with the ability to manage and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to build trust and respect at different levels.
  • Experience in integration, with an understanding of emergent properties, potential resultant issues, cost, and schedule implications.
  • Tenacity and determination, with a desire to deliver outputs and results.
