Job Summary

JS Legal Recruitment Ltd is seeking a talented and ambitious Family Lawyer to join a leading regional Legal 500 law firm based in Essex. The successful candidate will be part of a highly successful Private Family team and will be responsible for managing a full and mixed caseload of private family matters.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deal with divorce and dissolution of civil partnership cases
  • Manage financial settlements and claims following the breakdown of a relationship
  • Enforce financial orders and claims on behalf of a child
  • Apply for parental responsibility and domestic abuse and family law injunctions
  • Prepare and negotiate separation agreements, pre or post nuptial agreements, and cohabitation agreements
  • Manage declarations of trust and agreements regarding property and asset ownership

Requirements

  • At least 2 years of post-qualification experience as a Family Lawyer or Legal Executive
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with clients and network to maintain and develop work
  • Excellent communication and business development skills
