Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Procurement and Accommodation Manager to join our team at Remedy Social Work. As a key member of our Housing Solutions service area, you will be responsible for managing the operation of the procurement and temporary accommodation teams, ensuring a good supply of suitable, well-maintained temporary accommodation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the procurement and renewal of accommodation to meet the needs of our service users, overseeing contracts with suppliers across all accommodation types.
* Oversee the management of all forms of temporary accommodation, including repairs, voids, landlord liaison, lettings, tenancy management, and related areas.
* Ensure health and safety standards are met in all properties and that officers are trained in all aspects of health and safety, in line with current legislation and health and safety laws and regulations.
* Develop and sustain effective relationships with stakeholders and property providers to ensure demand facilitates supply.
* Take responsibility for budgets and related accounts, ensuring financial efficiency in the property procurement and temporary accommodation service.
* Provide managerial reports, statistical data, and updates as required.
* Deputise for the Property & Place Manager and other Managers in the Housing Solutions service area.
Requirements:
* Proven experience in procurement and accommodation management, preferably in a social housing or local government setting.
* Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a team.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with stakeholders and property providers.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
* Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and regulations.
