About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join our close-knit assembly team at Nicholas Clarke Associates Ltd. As a Mechanical Fitter, you will be responsible for the fitting and welding of mechanical machinery components, working within a team environment to ensure the successful completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assembly and fitting of mechanical systems and components
  • Welding and small fabrications
  • Reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings
  • Competently using power tools and test equipment
  • Inspecting and checking fitted parts and sub-assemblies
  • Adhering to all company H&S procedures
  • Working on a diverse range of mechanical fitting projects
Requirements
  • Mechanical Fitting experience on industrial size equipment
  • Time served engineering background; no specific qualifications required
  • MIG Welding experience (desirable)
  • Knowledge of hydraulics or pneumatics (desirable)
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to work safely and efficiently to time frames
