Haematology and Oncology Pharmacist

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in haematology and oncology and be able to provide expert advice to medical and nursing staff. You will also be responsible for developing and implementing policies and procedures related to the handling and administration of cytotoxic agents. Additionally, you will work closely with the team to ensure seamless communication and collaboration across departments. Your experience in managing the pharmaceutical element of clinical trials will be beneficial in leading this initiative within the trust. This position includes an education and training element which has previously proven successful in developing staff and promoting career advancement. • Providing a specialist haematology and oncology clinical pharmacy service to inpatients, outpatients, and day-case patients
• Ensuring adherence to best practices in the handling and administration of cytotoxic agents
• Implementing policies and procedures related to the safe storage and disposal of hazardous materials
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless communication and efficient workflows
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualities:
• Membership of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain (RPSGB)
• Degree in pharmacy
• Postgraduate diploma in clinical pharmacy or equivalent (desirable)
• Relevant experience in managing pharmaceutical elements of clinical trials, policy and procedure development, and previous experience in aseptic production (desirable)
Salary: £51,063 - £73,465 per annum
