About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Clinical Trials and Cancer Services Pharmacist to lead our team in providing high-quality, comprehensive pharmacy services to cancer patients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies for pharmaceutical clinical trials within our organization.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and manage a high-quality specialist clinical trials pharmacy service, ensuring compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and regulatory requirements.
  2. Provide leadership and expert advice on clinical trials to all pharmacy staff, as well as assist potential investigators in clinical trial design.
  3. Lead and finalize the setup of cancer clinical trials, including writing and/or checking dispensing procedures, trial-specific chemocare prescriptions, and worksheets.
  4. Provide specialized haematology and oncology clinical pharmacy services to inpatient, outpatient, and day-case patients, carers, specialist medical and nursing staff, and other relevant healthcare professionals.
Requirements
  • Mastery of Pharmacy (MPharm) or equivalent recognized qualification
  • GPhC registration
  • A minimum of 2 years experience working as a specialist pharmacist, preferably in cancer and/or aseptic services
  • Substantial post-registration experience in managing the pharmaceutical element of clinical trials
  • Diploma/Msc in Clinical Pharmacy or pharmacy practice or other equivalent post-graduate qualification
  • Qualified Independent Prescriber or willing to undertake training
Salary and Benefits

The salary for this position is £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits, including access to the NHS pension scheme, auto-enrolment to our Temporary Workforce Service, and free psychological support through our Employee Assistance Programme.
