Accountancy Practice Manager

TPF Recruitment, a leading accountancy practice recruitment agency in Kent, is seeking a Manager or Senior Manager to join a reputable firm of chartered accountants in East Kent.
This position offers fantastic progression prospects with partnership on offer in the near future for the right candidate.
You will be responsible for managing a portfolio of work across a range of accounts, tax, bookkeeping, and VAT with the support of a small team.
This opportunity would suit someone keen to become a partner in the future, with a clear route to future partnership and a relaxed working environment.
You will be responsible for a varied client portfolio, across a wide range of industry sectors, including sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing client relationships and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Reviewing and preparing annual accounts, VAT, payroll, tax returns, and other statutory requirements.
- Leading client meetings and providing support.
- Assisting with tax planning and working closely with the team.
- Supporting junior members of staff.
- Contributing to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- ACA/ACCA qualification or equivalent experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in a practice environment, with hands-on experience in accounts, tax, and VAT.
- Experience with Cloud Accounting software, such as Xero, Sage, or QuickBooks.
- Previous experience of motivating a team and supporting junior staff.
This role offers a highly competitive salary and remuneration package, including:
