Job Title: Head of Design and Technology

We are seeking an exceptional educator to lead our Design and Technology department, driving academic excellence and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of dedicated teachers, developing and implementing a curriculum that fosters creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills. They will work closely with the Principal to ensure high standards of academic achievement, high-quality teaching and learning experiences, and high standards of behavior in lessons and around the school.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Design and Technology department, developing and implementing a curriculum that meets the needs of all students
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure high standards of teaching and learning, and to promote a culture of excellence
  • Develop and maintain relationships with parents, carers, and the wider community to promote the school's values and mission
  • Contribute to the development of the school's strategic plan, ensuring that the Design and Technology department is aligned with the school's goals and objectives
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the Design and Technology curriculum, making recommendations for improvement
Requirements

We are looking for an exceptional educator who is passionate about Design and Technology, with a proven track record of leadership and teaching excellence. The successful candidate will have:

  • QTS and a relevant subject specialist qualification
  • Experience of leading a team of teachers and developing curriculum
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development
