Job Title: Senior Youth Support Worker

Join the CareTech Group team as a Senior Youth Support Worker and make a positive impact on the lives of young people in need.

About the Role:

As a Senior Youth Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to young people aged 16-18 who are living in our supported accommodation. You will work closely with the team to create a nurturing environment that promotes the normal development of young people.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting young people through the challenges of independence
  • Being emotionally available to listen to young people's views and feelings
  • Promoting and building positive relationships in a nurturing environment
  • Planning and engaging shared time within the home for the team and our young people
  • Creating an environment that our young people deserve to be a part of
  • Creating opportunities for the young people to grow and thrive within the home

Rota and Working Hours:

The rota will be 3 weeks rolling, with each shift being 8am to 11pm. Sleep ins will be 11pm to 8am, and you will be required to work a mix of days and nights.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience of supporting young people in the UK and be aware of local resources that may be of benefit to our young people. You will also need to be able to work as part of a team and be able to communicate effectively with young people and colleagues.
