Role Overview:

The Finance Business Partner will play a pivotal role in supporting the senior management team in driving business performance through data-driven insights and strategic business partnering. This role will be a key member of the budget tool project team, providing expertise in all aspects of budget tool implementation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively support senior stakeholders in delivering financial objectives, highlighting significant variances against the plan, and collaborating with stakeholders to agree on compensatory measures.
  • Provide timely and accurate financial information to help functions stay on track against budget, and offer meaningful analysis of actual results.
  • Offer ongoing support to finance leaders within our service centers, local offices, and regional finance leadership as required, and provide timely responses to internal and external inquiries.
  • Take responsibility for accurate annual budget setting, quarterly forecasting, and regular monthly reporting, including actual results vs budget analysis for the assigned alliance, office, and PBS function, as well as providing cover for the rest of the team.

Requirements:

  • Relevant undergraduate degree (2:1 classification or above preferred)
  • Newly Qualified accountant (ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or equivalent)
  • Experience in a finance role
  • Expert knowledge of general accounting principles
  • Knowledge and experience of financial systems (SAP preferred), advanced Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal & written communication skills with the ability to present to senior management and a personable, friendly approach
  • Flexible, well-organized, and able to deal with various stakeholders confidently
  • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to understand and interpret data
  • Demonstrable ability to develop relations across different parts of the business
  • Willingness to learn new things and an ability and desire to drive initiatives forward
  • Ability to work under own initiative
  • An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines
  • Good team player
