About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Water Quality Sampler to join our team at Affinity Water. As a Water Quality Sampler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality of our water supply, working closely with our customers and communities to deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collect and analyze water samples from various locations, including water treatment works and customer properties.
  • Conduct routine, non-routine, and random sampling across our supply area, working independently to complete daily schedules.
  • Perform unannounced visits to customer properties to take sample readings, requiring a high level of customer service and communication skills.
  • Operate company vehicles, driving up to 60-70 miles per day, and maintain accurate records of sampling activities.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of water quality services, sharing knowledge and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
  • Hold a full/clean UK/Manual driving license.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Basic IT skills, with training provided on bespoke apps.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with experience of working with the public.
What We Offer
  • A competitive part-time salary of £18,849, with the opportunity to earn an additional £3-5k in guaranteed overtime.
  • Part-time hours of 27.5, with flexibility to choose your 5.5 hours between 8am-4pm.
  • Overtime payments on top of your basic salary for participating in occasional weekend work and out-of-hours standby during the week, and double time on Sundays.
