About the Role

Job Overview

We Manage Jobs (WMJobs) is seeking a highly skilled English as an Additional Language (EAL) specialist to join our team on a fixed-term basis until March 2026. As an EAL teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting schools and educational settings in meeting the needs of students from diverse linguistic and cultural backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert guidance and training to educators, parents, and communities to ensure high-quality educational experiences for children and young people with EAL needs.
  • Collaborate with schools, parents, and agencies to foster community cohesion and social inclusion for EAL learners and their families.
  • Participate in local and national projects to promote the achievement and inclusion of EAL learners.
  • Conduct assessments and deliver tailored teaching and learning opportunities for newly arrived and advanced EAL learners.
  • Offer support to primary and secondary schools for newly arrived EAL students.
  • Deliver high-quality training and networking opportunities for educational settings and professionals.
  • Stay informed about local and national EAL initiatives and research, contributing to policy and process development.

About You:

  • You hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • You have proven experience in supporting EAL learners across primary and secondary education.
  • You possess strong collaboration skills to work with schools, parents, and agencies to ensure effective inclusion strategies.
  • You have expertise in developing culturally relevant educational resources and delivering impactful training.
  • You are passionate about cultural diversity and language learning.
