About the Role

Hoople is seeking a highly skilled EAL Educational Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified professional with expertise in supporting English as an Additional Language (EAL) learners.

The successful candidate will play a key role in helping schools meet the needs of students from diverse backgrounds, providing expert guidance, training, and support to educators, parents, and communities.

  • Offer expert advice and training to schools and early years settings on curriculum access and effective teaching strategies.
  • Collaborate with schools, parents, and agencies to foster community cohesion and social inclusion for EAL learners and their families.
  • Participate in local and national projects to promote the achievement and inclusion of EAL learners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments and deliver tailored teaching and learning opportunities for newly arrived and advanced EAL learners.
  • Provide guidance to primary and secondary schools for newly arrived EAL students.
  • Deliver high-quality training and networking opportunities for educational settings and professionals.
  • Support with EAL pupils' progress, identifying those not meeting expected outcomes, and advise on effective strategies.

About You:

  • Able to demonstrate Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Proven experience in supporting EAL learners across primary and secondary education.
  • Strong ability to collaborate with schools, parents, and agencies to ensure effective inclusion strategies.
  • Expertise in developing culturally relevant educational resources and delivering impactful training.
