About the Role:

Astute People is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Energy Centre Operations Manager to lead our district heating site in London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the reliable delivery of heat, chill, and power to our commercial and residential customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of engineers with a focus on Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) leadership
  • Oversee the financial management of the site and manage maintenance contracts
  • Develop operational strategies aligned with business goals
  • Identify and resolve plant issues to improve reliability and availability
  • Manage and monitor contractor performance

Requirements:

  • ONC/HNC/HND in a relevant engineering field preferred
  • IOSH or equivalent certification is essential
  • At least five years' experience in a similar role within the district heating, Combined Heat and Power (CHP), Energy from Waste, or Biomass sectors
  • Strong experience in commercial contract management and strategic decision-making
