Job Title: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer

Our client is a leading global company seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Engineer with an electrical bias to join their team. As a key member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for carrying out maintenance tasks, including attending to breakdowns and routine preventative maintenance programs, to minimize machinery downtime.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Solving reasons for breakdown and undertaking corrective and preventative actions to resolve
  • Repairs and maintenance of PLC controlled machinery
  • Recording and reporting of maintenance activities
  • Conducting equipment inspections and determining appropriate job work scopes and standards
  • Creating and maintaining plant history and other technical files
  • Providing technical assistance to improve the reliability and performance of the plant's machinery
  • Complying with company policies and procedures, including Health & Safety Standards
  • Utilizing a computer-based maintenance management system to support the maintenance function
Requirements:
  • NVQ Level 3 electrical/engineering qualification or equivalent
  • Minimum 4 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C or above, or equivalent
  • Time/skill-served mechanically, electrically advantageous, with Industrial Experience
  • Experience of fault-finding on automated machinery
  • Minimum 3 year's FMCG experience
  • Ability to read, interpret and apply information from files, mechanical drawings, catalogues, reports, and manuals
  • Experience of both the installation of new equipment and overhaul of existing equipment
  • A sound knowledge of control systems, conveyors, mechanical drives, pneumatic and hydraulic systems
  • Experience of tig welding, turning, milling and fabrication
