**About the Role**

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Crime Duty Solicitor to join our team at Law Staff Limited. As a Crime Duty Solicitor, you will be responsible for representing clients detained at police stations, handling a caseload of criminal defence cases, and conducting advocacy in the Magistrates' Court.

**Key Responsibilities**

* Represent clients detained at police stations
* Handle a caseload of criminal defence cases across a range of different offences
* Conduct advocacy in the Magistrates' Court, including summary trials and Crown Court hearings

**Requirements**

* Solicitors with at least 1 year's PQE in criminal matters
* Crime duty accreditation is preferred but not essential
* Excellent communication and advocacy skills
* IT proficiency
* Ability to manage a demanding caseload with minimal supervision
* Demonstrates a pragmatic, professional, and positive approach
* Passion for publicly funded work
* Attention to detail and confidence to work independently
