About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Criminal Defence Specialist to join our Crime Team in our South East London office. As a Duty Solicitor, you will be responsible for representing clients detained at police stations, handling your own caseload of criminal defence cases, and conducting advocacy in the Magistrates' Court.

About You:

To be successful in this role, you will need to have at least 1 year's PQE in criminal matters, with crime duty accreditation preferred but not essential. You will also need to have excellent communication and advocacy skills, IT proficiency, and the ability to manage a demanding caseload with minimal supervision. Additionally, you will need to demonstrate a pragmatic, professional, and positive approach, with a passion for publicly funded work and a strong attention to detail.
