Key Responsibilities

  • Underwrite Property Owners and Commercial Combined accounts, ensuring profitable growth and adherence to company strategy and authority limits.
  • Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with colleagues and brokers, identifying new opportunities within our network.
  • Attend training, review meetings, and social events to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices.
  • Maintain and exceed agreed service levels to internal and external customers, ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with senior underwriters and support those more junior, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and development.
  • Stay up-to-date with commercial underwriting and broking market trends, analyzing data accurately and effectively to inform business decisions.

Requirements

  • Strong trading skills, with experience in developing broker accounts to achieve profitable growth.
  • Underwriting knowledge, specifically with previous experience in Property Owners and/or Commercial Combined.
  • Motivated, driven, and adaptable, with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain internal and external relationships.
  • Good problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team to deliver common goals.
  • Awareness of market and legal/industry developments, with a passion for ongoing professional development.
