Job SummaryWe are seeking an exceptional Financial Sustainability Analyst - Climate Change Expert to join our team. In this role, you will assess banks' climate commitments, conduct ad-hoc research on banks' climate performance, and generate insights that support campaigning needs and ongoing dialogue with key stakeholders.
Main Responsibilities- Climate Commitment Analysis: Assess banks' climate commitments, evaluate their alignment with industry standards, and identify areas for improvement.
- Research and Insights: Conduct in-depth research on banks' climate performance, analyzing quantitative and qualitative data to provide actionable recommendations.
- Databasing and Reporting: Maintain an internal database tracking banks' sector policies and climate targets, enabling accurate and efficient use across various research and campaigning activities.
- Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Draft investor briefings, research materials, and reports in close collaboration with campaigners to support engagement with focus banks, members of our investor coalitions, journalists, and others.
- Broad Understanding of Financial Sector: Possess a strong understanding of how the financial sector works and how financial institutions can impact sustainability issues, particularly climate change.
- Keen Interest in Sustainability: Demonstrate a keen interest in driving the banking sector to better serve people and the planet.
- Analytical and Communication Skills: Exhibit excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
- Organizational and Time Management: Show excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage competing demands while meeting deadlines.
- Competitive Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.
