Elevation Recruitment Group is partnering with a fast-paced manufacturing business to find a skilled Buyer - Capex for their Procurement Team.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support the Department in delivering its Strategic Objectives by engaging with stakeholders and ensuring early engagement throughout the Procurement Lifecycle.
  • Manage and deliver multiple sourcing strategies, including sourcing activities that generate benefits and achieve financial savings targets, ensuring procurement activities align with the business Purpose, and identifying internal and external cost drivers.
  • Lead cross-functional Sourcing Teams to undertake compliant procurements in accordance with the approved Sourcing Strategy, ensuring the team is aware of and adheres to their responsibilities.
  • Negotiate contractual agreements with suppliers to ensure service, quality, cost, security of supply, and the deployment of supplier capabilities in innovation are secured.

The Ideal Candidate:

  • CIPS qualified or Degree level of Education
  • Experience in non-repeatable procurement, including various procurement routes and knowledge of exemptions
  • Extensive experience in drafting and implementing multiple forms of contract
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills at all levels
  • Able to hold people to account and lead cross-functional teams
  • Able to manage multiple projects running in parallel through exceptional priority/time management
  • Significant previous procurement experience with responsibility for delivery of procurement sourcing strategies
  • Excellent analytical, interpersonal, and organisational skills
