About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our team at ME London Hotel. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our hotel's mechanical, structural, and domestic systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage, repair, and redecorate assigned floors to ensure a high level of guest satisfaction.
- Conduct regular checks on appliances related to fire and health & safety to ensure compliance with regulations.
- Carry out administrative duties to maintain a record of all works carried out on a day-to-day basis.
- Implement and maintain energy-saving devices in collaboration with the Chief Engineer.
- Record all materials used and inform the Maintenance Office of any spares and materials required.
- Respond promptly to guest-related maintenance requests within the company's 10-minute response time.
- Assist other Maintenance staff to accomplish maintenance tasks.
Requirements
- Qualification in at least one of the maintenance trades and previous experience in hotel maintenance.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Proactive and positive personality.
- Able to work some shifts at night.
- Flexibility and ability to respond quickly and positively to customers' and hotel's needs.
- Great team-player with ability to show co-operation and support to colleagues and other departments within the hotel.
