Job Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Leonardo is seeking a highly skilled Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our Software Quality Assurance Team in Edinburgh. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide independent software assurance support to the development and release of software, verifying it meets contracted and company standards.
  • Create and maintain software quality assurance plans in accordance with contractual conditions and company standards.
  • Estimate software quality assurance resources required to support projects.
  • Assess the ability of subcontracted companies to perform software development to required standards.
  • Assess projects for compliance with software development plans and processes.
  • Participate in software lifecycle reviews.
  • Perform software conformity reviews and physical/functional configuration audits.
  • Verify the release of deliverable software.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge and practical experience of software quality.
  • Further education and experience ideally in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing or experience in Defence Electronics or similarly complex industry.
  • Be a logical thinker, capable of harvesting complex data into actions with practical solutions that support business goals.
  • Have good interpersonal skills and a collaborative working style across all functions of the business.
