We are seeking a proficient Senior IT Infrastructure Engineer (3rd Line Support) to become a vital member of our IT Solutions Team. The successful candidate will possess a solid foundation in supporting educational technology applications and demonstrate expertise in deploying Microsoft Server, VMware, and Aruba networking solutions.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Deliver third-line IT support to achieve departmental objectives.
  • Assist team members with first and second-line support both remotely and on-site as required.
  • Act as the primary liaison for third-party IT infrastructure support and installations.
  • Oversee the maintenance, configuration, and installation of essential IT platforms and hardware.
  • Ensure effective and secure management of user accounts and security protocols.
  • Advocate for best practices in cybersecurity.
  • Collaborate with IT colleagues on infrastructure and systems initiatives.
  • Provide expertise in enhancing and supporting the institution's IT infrastructure and systems.

Required Skills:

Essential Qualifications:

  • ITIL Foundation certification or equivalent experience in a service level agreement (SLA) environment.
  • Degree-level IT qualification or equivalent professional experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant technical experience.
  • Proven experience in leading technical projects.
  • Experience managing a medium-sized Microsoft networked environment.
  • Familiarity with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization technologies.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • Understanding of networking principles.
  • Knowledge of Android and iOS device management.
