Principal Civil Engineer

About the RoleAs a Principal Civil Engineer, you'll be responsible for overseeing the delivery of complex water engineering projects, managing budgets and project timelines, and leading a team of engineers and technical specialists. You'll work closely with clients to develop project scope, price proposals, and communicate project progress. Your expertise will be invaluable in ensuring design compliance with all applicable standards and regulations, and providing technical expertise for interdisciplinary analytical studies.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the delivery of complex water engineering projects, ensuring timely and accurate results.
- Lead a team of engineers and technical specialists, providing guidance and support to ensure project success.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams.
- Ensure design compliance with all applicable standards and regulations.
- Provide technical expertise for interdisciplinary analytical studies.

To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- Proven experience in the water sector, ideally at the Principal level.
- Chartered or Incorporated with a relevant institution, such as ICE or CIWEM.
- Experience in outline and/or detailed design, preferably in wastewater/water networks and treatment schemes.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification/demonstrable equivalent experience.
