We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a diverse primary school in the heart of Wakefield.

Job Description
  • Provide support across both Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) classrooms.
  • Assist in the planning and delivery of lessons under the guidance of the class teacher.
  • Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning concepts.
  • Implement strategies to support students with diverse learning needs.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Confidently manage challenging behaviour.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work closely with teachers and other support staff to deliver high-quality education to students. You will be responsible for leading pre-planned lessons to classes across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, and must be flexible and comfortable working across both Key stages.

Requirements
  • Relevant experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting.
  • Strong behaviour management skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Understanding of child development and learning theories.
  • Relevant qualifications or willingness to undertake relevant training.
  • DBS on the update service or willing to apply.

The successful candidate will be offered a competitive salary of £95-£110 per day, depending on experience.
