Tooling Engineer Job Description

ACR Recruitment Ltd is seeking a skilled Tooling Engineer to join one of our Engineering clients on a permanent basis in Coventry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in ensuring components are produced correctly by supplying correct and accurate tooling to operatives.
  • Support and advise other employees when required in regards to tooling.
  • Ensure all operations are carried out efficiently and accurately to customers' requirements, drawing tolerance and specifications.
  • Effective and regular communication with CNC supervisors and programme writers ensuring loading board instructions are accurate and up to date.
  • Make sure all tooling requirements are in place before component is loaded onto machine.
  • Make sure that tooling set up sheets and kitting lists are adhered to and assist in developing company procedures.
  • Set up sheets and kitting lists are edited to incorporate latest standards and instructions where necessary and ensure they are effectively communicated to all personnel.
  • Feedback to line managers and supervisors and changes to programmers before changing masters.
  • Tooling is set correctly and accurately ready for use by operator.
  • Make sure H&S rules and regulations are adhered to at all times.

Requirements:
  • Tooling experience: 5 years.
  • Ability to commute or relocate to Coventry, West Midlands.
  • Work authorisation: United Kingdom.
