About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Youth Development Coordinator to join our team at Sja's West. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering our NHS Cadet Programme, which aims to support young people from marginalized communities to develop their skills and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver 1.5-2 hour sessions to young people involved with the NHS Cadet Programme, providing development opportunities in citizenship and NHS-related skills.
  • Work closely with a Project Lead and other Youth Development Coordinators to plan and deliver content, adapting to the individual needs of the young people on your programme.
  • Support the recruitment of young people onto the programme and act as a point of contact for enrolled participants to ensure they maximize their opportunities for growth and development.

Requirements:

  • Experience of delivering formal or informal training or activities to young people.
  • Experience of motivating young people who have low or unrealised aspirations.
  • High levels of IT literacy with a good knowledge of MS Office and remote working tools.
