About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Senior Hardware Design Engineer to join our Test Equipment Design Team at Mane Contract Services.

As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for defining and specifying test approaches for hardware design, identifying and implementing improvements to test and diagnostic processes, and participating in all stages of the design process, including bid preparation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and Development: Define and specify test approaches for hardware design, ensuring that they meet the required standards and specifications.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to test and diagnostic processes, increasing efficiency and reducing costs.
  • Design Process Participation: Participate in the design process at all stages, including bid preparation, to ensure that the design meets the required specifications and standards.
  • Leadership and Management: Lead work packages and manage assigned budgets, as well as manage and mentor a small team of engineers.
Requirements
  • Test and Diagnostic Knowledge: Strong knowledge of test needs and techniques in support of product lifecycle development.
  • Design and Development Experience: Experience in design proving and performance testing during development, as well as environmental and EMC testing during qualification.
  • Document Writing Skills: Strong document writing skills related to test equipment hardware design.
  • Leadership and Management Experience: Experience managing a small team and/or packages of work is highly desirable.
Security Clearance

Due to the nature of the role, you will be required to gain UK government security clearance. To achieve this, you must hold British or dual nationality.
