Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Hardware Design Engineer to join our Test Equipment Design Team at Mane Contract Services. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, integrating, and validating test system hardware.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and Development: Define and specify test approaches for hardware design, identify potential improvements to test/diagnostic processes, and participate in all stages of the design process, including bid preparation.
  • Leadership and Management: Lead work packages, manage assigned budgets, and lead your own team.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure effective design and development of test equipment hardware.
  • Technical Expertise: Possess knowledge of test needs and techniques in support of product lifecycle development, experience in design proving and performance testing during development, and experience with environmental and EMC testing during qualification.

Requirements:

  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field, and a minimum of 5 years of experience in hardware design and development.
  • Skills and Qualifications: Strong document writing skills related to test equipment hardware design, experience managing a small team and/or packages of work, and ability to obtain UK government security clearance.
