Our client, a leading manufacturing company, is seeking a highly skilled Purchase Ledger Manager to join their finance team in Bedford. This is an exciting opportunity for someone to take on a challenging role and make a real impact.

As a Purchase Ledger Manager, you will be responsible for managing the purchase ledger, including query resolution and reconciliations. You will also oversee credit control and ensure timely resolution of issues. Additionally, you will conduct sales and production analysis and reporting for the UK and Parent Company, process AP invoices and credit notes, and reconcile accounts.

This role involves:

  • Managing the Purchase Ledger, including query resolution and reconciliations;
  • Handling month-end duties, including journals, accruals, RNI, and inventory reviews;
  • Overseeing Credit Control and ensuring timely resolution of issues;
  • Conducting sales and production analysis and reporting for the UK and Parent Company;
  • Processing AP invoices and credit notes, resolving queries, and reconciling accounts;
  • Supporting the annual external audit and completing year-end tasks within timelines;
  • Managing multiple finance mailboxes and handling general office duties.

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • GCSE English and Maths (Grade 4/C or equivalent);
  • A qualification in ACCA, ACA, CIMA, or AAT; Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping;
  • Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office packages.

We offer a competitive salary of £26,000 per annum, based on experience.
