Mental Health Services Coordinator

Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is a leading healthcare provider in the UK, delivering high-quality services to individuals with mental health conditions.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and administration of the Mental Health Act (MHA) within our trust. This will involve monitoring, supporting, and undertaking MHA-related work inputted into Carenotes by the MHA Team.
The role will support the Information Analyst in regular audits on MHA-related practice, provide training to the MHA team on MHA administrative processes, and ensure that the necessary effective support is provided to enable Associate Hospital Managers to carry out their statutory duties under the Act.
The post holder will also be responsible for providing advice and guidance to staff regarding the application and implementation of the MHA, MCA, and associated legislation to prevent unlawful detention and treatment and protect the Trust from possible litigation.
In addition, the successful candidate will oversee and support the undertaking of Mental Health Act administration Trust-wide, ensure accurate data input and practice quality by the MHA team, and arrange and/or provide cover and support to other MHA offices within the Trust as required.
This is a challenging but rewarding role that requires strong analytical and communication skills, as well as an in-depth knowledge of the Mental Health Act and associated legislation. The ideal candidate will be respectful and empathetic towards individuals with mental health issues and able to demonstrate support for the values and beliefs of the Trust.
Key Responsibilities:- Ensure effective implementation and administration of the Mental Health Act within the trust
- Support the Information Analyst in regular audits on MHA-related practice

- Certificate in Mental Health Law or significant relevant experience

- Demonstrated support for the values and beliefs of the Trust
Salary: £40,000 - £55,000 per annum
