About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Haemodialysis Nurse to join our team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of our trust's vision: 'great healthcare from great people'.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide haemodialysis care to renal patients on a daily basis, including fluid management, recording observations, daily weights, intravenous medication, pressure sore prevention, vascular access care, and diabetes management.
- Connect and disconnect patients from dialysis, using their vascular access, and be responsible for the care provided to patients and accountable to the senior team.
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team, including Dieticians, Access team, AKC nurses, Counsellors, Renal Care Navigator, Renal Registrars, Renal Consultants, and Transplant nurses.
