Endoscopy Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our Endoscopy team at East Kent Hospitals University NHS Foundation Trust. As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the growth and development of our Endoscopy Services.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team that is expanding its Endoscopy Services to meet the needs of our patients seven days a week. As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialist nursing expertise, facilitating evidence-based patient-centered care, and coordinating patients throughout their pre-assessment pathway.
Main Responsibilities- Provide specialist nursing expertise and facilitate evidence-based patient-centered care for patients undergoing endoscopy procedures.
- Coordinate patients throughout their pre-assessment pathway, with a high level of input into the management and care of patients prior to admission for specified procedures.
- Act as a resource and provide education for patients and healthcare professionals.
- Carry out relevant forms of care without direct supervision, working effectively within the multi-disciplinary team.
- Support all members of staff within endoscopy, including nursing students and visiting healthcare professionals.
- Ensure that the nursing philosophy of care for Endoscopy is reflected in practice.

Person SpecificationWe are looking for a Registered Nurse with recent clinical experience in an Acute trust. You should have a strong awareness of the GRS and be able to develop working relationships with others. You should also have a completion of Preceptorship and be a Registered Nurse.
