Job Title: Residential Property Paralegal

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Residential Property Paralegal to join our team at Simpson Judge Ltd. As a key member of our Conveyancing Department, you will provide legal assistance to Conveyancers and clients, ensuring the smooth delivery of residential property services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Support Conveyancers in the management of their caseload by undertaking legal procedures as supervised by the Conveyancer.
  • Assist Conveyancers with file-related queries, either by telephone or face-to-face, ensuring client service levels and client standards are always adhered to.
  • Ensure that clients are dealt with efficiently and politely and that appropriate legal matters are raised with the Conveyancer.
  • Attend to clients, take instructions, and conduct letter and telephone enquiries as necessary.
  • Open and process post in accordance with the firm's procedures.
  • Update the case management system/client systems as appropriate to ensure compliance.
  • Prepare files and close and archive.
  • Assist with a caseload of property law matters.
  • Keep up to date with changes in property law and ensure that clients are informed of any changes that may affect them.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a Conveyancing Department, ideally residential.
  • Hands-on experience assisting Residential Property Fee Earners/Conveyancer.
  • At least 12 months of experience in Conveyancing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
  • Friendly and personable personality with the ability to take instruction, work well within a team as well as using your own initiative and working independently.
  • Commercially aware with a strong focus on client service.
