Job Summary

We are working with a leading privately owned house builder in the region to strengthen their team with an experienced Planning Manager. The company is one of the top developers in the area, delivering high-quality family homes in desirable locations.

About the Role

The Planning Manager will work closely with the team and report directly to the Managing Director, while collaborating with the Head of Land. The company is currently acquiring a significant amount of land and has several large strategic sites in the pipeline.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning function and manage planning applications for residential developments
  • Develop and maintain a good understanding of local planning policies and regulations
  • Collaborate with the Head of Land to identify and acquire new development opportunities
  • Work closely with the team to ensure successful project delivery
  • Provide expert advice on planning matters to the Managing Director and other stakeholders

Requirements

  • Degree qualified with MRTPI
  • 6+ years of post-graduation experience in planning, preferably in a house builder or consultancy
  • Proven track record of handling planning applications in the region
  • Excellent knowledge of local planning policies and regulations
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
