Senior Scientist - Analytical CMC

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Scientist to lead the development of analytical techniques for the testing of immunotherapy products in a leading biotechnology company based in Oxfordshire.

As the Senior Scientist - Analytical CMC, you will be responsible for establishing, qualifying, and validating analytical assays to support Chemistry, Manufacturing, and Control (CMC) activities.

You will provide technical leadership on assay transfers to Contract Manufacturing Organisations (CMOs) and Contract Testing Laboratories (CTLs), and author and review standard operating procedures, assay qualification/development/transfer/validation reports, and analytical methods.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the development of analytical techniques for immunotherapy product testing
  • Establishing, qualifying, and validating analytical assays for CMC activities
  • Providing technical leadership on assay transfers to CMOs and CTLs
  • Authoring and reviewing standard operating procedures, assay qualification/development/transfer/validation reports, and analytical methods

Requirements:

  • PhD or equivalent degree in a life science discipline (e.g. Biochemistry)
  • Proven industry experience working in a laboratory within a Biotechnology/Pharmaceutical setting using techniques such as ELISA, PCR, HPLC, and Western Blotting
