Senior Radiotherapy Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Radiotherapist to join our team in the Radiotherapy Department. The successful candidate will have extensive experience in CT scanning, treatment planning, and patient care.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide safe and accurate specialist CT Scanning services allowing consistent and accurate delivery of therapeutic ionising radiation.
- Undertake and lead on all CT scanning tasks as a senior team member, including Cannulation, contrast delivery, 4DCT, breath-hold techniques, palliative Eclipse planning, and any future developments.
- Ensure compliance with all safe working practices under IR(ME)R 2017 AND IRR 2017.
- Demonstrate ability to resolve complex treatment and planning issues with problem-solving skills and effective autonomous decision-making.
Requirements:
- Specialist proven knowledge of CT equipment and techniques within Radiotherapy backed up by demonstrable evidence of experience and/or relevant qualifications.
- Broad demonstrable experience and proven understanding of CT procedures within Radiotherapy and virtual simulation.
- Proven evidence of knowledge of treatment side effects and current patient information/advice to enable effective working in Radiotherapy Support Services.
- Degree in Therapeutic Radiography or equivalent, with proven evidence of additional CT and/or patient support training.
Estimated Salary: £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.
