About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Shared Lives Service as an Assistant Shared Lives Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of adults in Leicestershire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the management and coordination of a comprehensive county-wide Shared Lives service across Adults & Communities, maintaining a high-quality responsive customer service.
  • Work with and assist managers across all services to establish service priorities, improve service delivery, and develop and monitor service standards and performance.
  • Have a good understanding of social care organisations and their roles and responsibilities within the wider community and voluntary sector.
  • Be a confident communicator with excellent negotiation, persuasion, assertiveness, and conflict management skills, able to build effective working relationships and network with stakeholders.
  • Manage a caseload and work to clear objectives, recognising the limits of own accountability and responsibility, and seeking appropriate support and advice when required.
Requirements
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to maintain efficient and effective financial systems.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment, with a base at County Hall, Leicester.
  • Valid full driving licence or access to a vehicle for this position.
  • DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity.
