About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled Head of Compliance Advisory to join our team at Zopa. As a key member of our compliance function, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our products and services meet the highest standards of regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice to our product teams on compliance considerations and help them identify solutions that meet regulatory requirements.
  • Oversee the implementation and ongoing performance of controls to ensure our products operate in line with internal policies and external regulations.
  • Help the business manage Regulatory Change projects in response to new or amended regulations impacting Zopa.
  • Provide training and support to colleagues to ensure they are aware of their responsibilities under internal policies and external regulations.
  • Ensure appropriate governance takes place within product teams, including Regulatory Reporting, management information, and governance reporting.
  • Shape the role and work of the 1st Line Compliance team, ensuring that processes, documentation, and governance are in place across all areas of the team's responsibilities.

About You:

We are looking for someone with excellent knowledge of the UK regulatory landscape, particularly FCA and broader consumer-focused regulation. You should have previous experience in senior compliance within financial services, ideally within retail banking or consumer credit. Strong coaching and mentoring skills are essential, as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills. You should be motivated by driving and facilitating change, delivering better outcomes for customers and the business. ICA or industry qualifications are helpful but not essential.
