We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Theatre Practitioner Anaesthetics ODP/RGN to join our team at Cromwell Hospital. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our main adult theatre.
Key Responsibilities- Provide assistance to consultants during all surgical procedures, ensuring the highest standards of patient care and safety.
- Assist in the positioning and preparation of patients as directed by the surgical team, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
- Prepare patients for clinical and operative procedures, providing immediate post-operative care and support.
- Take charge of the clinical area in the absence of an advanced practitioner, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients, visitors, and staff.
- Participate fully as a team member, sharing knowledge and information, and supporting colleagues to achieve excellent patient outcomes.
- Contribute to the control of cross-infection by observing departmental policy regarding dress, cleanliness, and decontamination procedures.
- Hold a relevant ODP/Anaesthetic Nurse qualification (HCPC/ADULT RGN).
- Post-registration experience within Anaesthetics, with a strong understanding of perioperative care.
- Ability to deliver high standards of care, with a focus on patient safety and satisfaction.
